THE Mumbai Region of SDC India (Education Charity) has announced that its 4th international colour conference entitled Coloration of Innovative Cellulosics will be held at the Majestic Intercontinental Grand Hotel, Sahar, Mumbai, on Friday, 1 June 2007.
The organising committee has attracted an impressive line-up of expert contributors including Ms Ursula Schumacher, Mr Ajay Sharma and the incoming president of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, Mr Adrian Abel.
Lead sponsor is DyStar, associate sponsor is Huntsman and conference supporters include L N Chemicals, SF Dyes and Arvind.
Topics covered will include organic cotton and sustainability, and the conference will feature an interactive debate on the implications of REACH.
In order to make every effort 'to advance the science of colour', the Society of Dyers and Colourists aims to disseminate information through the coloration industry and beyond. This is done through the work done by the members of Council, the various committees and the membership worldwide. The headquarters of the Society are based in Bradford, UK.
