Electrolux wet-cleaning system launched in Germany. A ground breaking professional cleaning system that cleans delicate fabrics without chemical solvents has been launched in Germany.

The Electrolux Professional Lagoon System is the first and only wet-cleaning system approved by Woolmark. Its advantages include:
• Whiteness and brightness: cleaning with water preserves the integrity of colours which often become dull when cleaning with chemical solvents
• Unprecedented stain elimination: 90% of all stains are eliminated without requiring any pre-treatment
• Kind to the environment: all detergents used are 100% biodegradable
• Improved operator work environment: unpleasant chemical vapours are eliminated as are costly extraction systems.

The Lagoon system was launched at 'Simon's Reinigung'- a professional cleaning business that counts the Environment Minister for Baden-Wurttemberg, Mrs Tanja Gonner, as a customer.

Japan Fine Grade Wool Club:
Originally commenced as a study group to resolve odour issues surrounding wool futons, the culmination of 3 years' study has resulted in a newly launched quality specification.

Administered by The Woolmark Company, the group comprises 7 Japanese members, as well as wool shippers from Belgium, France and the UK. This fine grade wool product has been officially launched at Japan's Tokyu department store.

Indian Carpet/Rug Manufacturer Signs Woolmark for Inspection Service:
One of India's oldest quality handmade carpet/rug manufacturers and exporters, E. Hill & Co. has appointed The Woolmark Company as provider of third party pre-shipment carpet inspection and quality audit service.
