Wait-n-see buyer attitude strains polyester market

July 2 Monday, PTA, MEG prices presented weak adjustment, semi-dull, and bright polyester chips continued to decline, CDP prices eased and price of polyester staple fiber declined.
Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm prices were stable, prices of CPL, Nylon 6 slices went flat.
Viscose staple price still narrowly tumbled.
Due to the wait-and-see attitude from lower factories for raw materials procurement, polyester filament market looked scrappy. Therefore polyester filament market is expected to face the pressure of downward trend.
The overall situation of all cotton yarn market was amid a picking up momentum. Viscose yarn market only had small trade. Polyester-cotton yarn market changed little. Pure polyester yarn demand remained low and price was still in a situation of minor consolidation.
