Vietnamese textile and apparel industry in June this year exported products worth US $720 million to over 60 countries across the world, contributing to figure of first six months 2007 and raising it to $3.4 billion.
This also recorded a growth of $660 million over the corrosponding period of last year.
The exports turnover of June showed the highest value month since beginning of 2007.
According to local industrial experts, despite of negative impact resulted from the US's Monitoring mechanism on the textile and apparel goods from Vietnam, the big clients are still importing from the country.
However, there is sharp decline in orders made by small clients whose combined imports turnover account for the big share of whole industry.
Vietnam's textile and apparel industry in 2006 earned of $5.8 billion through export, of which $3.1 billion worth was from the US market where it ranked sixth among textile and apparel exporters.
