ADVANSA has announced price increases in the range of 5- 10% for its Polyester staple fibers for Textile and Nonwovens end uses to cope with the increasing costs of raw material, energy and labor.
The company which is the market leader in Europe, Middle East, Africa region for Polyester fibres has absorbed significant cost increases last year which have still not fully been compensated by marginal price increases in April and is now facing further increases, a trend which is expected to increase in coming months.
“As Europe's polyester leader, ADVANSA remains committed to continuing its investments in brands and technology, however the increasing costs are continuously diminishing the margin of this business, a situation which cannot be further continued” said Dr.Heinz Meierkord VP&GM of ADVANSA.
