UCMTF has a long tradition of partnerships with the best engineering universities in France, particularly with their textile, mechanics and electronics departments.
“We focus on the best universities to attract young talents to our industry” says Marc Brabant the chairman of UCMTF committee on education. Each year UCMTF sponsors the ITECH Challenge through a contribution of Euros 15 000 (more than USD 20 000) because “the ITECH Challenge proposes innovative subjects –originating from the industry - to multidisciplinary teams of students from different universities and backgrounds” adds Marc Brabant who explains ”this is one of our major collaborative projects with the universities."
"The other ones being a forum we organize every two years to promote our industry to the textile students and the workshops we organize for the faculty in the areas of textile and mechanics to keep both these professors and ourselves at the forefront of the state of the art”.
DBA Apparel and UCMTF involvements “This study is part of our strategic research and innovation” says anne-Christine Ayed “it is a central function servicing all our brands which must bring added value to customers and be protected by intellectual property.”
