Earth Commerce EDI Services, Inc, is soon to be a new entrée at the Bogalusa Industrial Park. Mayor McGhee of the city, recieved green signal from the council members to ink a contract for acquiring the former Model Craft LLC location at 420 Industrial Parkway.

Earth Commerce is said to be undertaking the same business as American Fabrics. The latter along with Model Crafts are recognized as importers and manufacturers of numerous products like embroidery, art needlework and lace, wrap knit, non-woven, leather, silk, cotton, wool and synthetic fabrics.

Apart from having its own separate business, Earth Commerce had initially worked for Model Crafts as well. For the 60,000 square-foot facility given on lease till January 31, 2009, the company will pay 75 cents per square foot, or US $43,888.50 per year.

Besides, the lease requires Earth Commerce to maintain insurance for the building for any uncertainties that may occur due to fire or loss of property.
