Budget is acceptable - Visaka Industries

After the Union Budget of 2008-09, Fibre2fashion contacted Mr Vallinath Senior Vice President Finance of Visaka Industries, to get their comments on yesterday's budget.
"We can say the budget is satisfactory. Most of the sectors like Agriculture, Education, Employees have been benefited. All the more, excise and custom's duty has already been brought down.
It is a good sign that TUF is continuing which is a good sign for the growth, and project import duties has reduced from 7.5 to 5 percent, Central Sales Tax has been reduced by 2 percent.
According to Senior Vice President Finance of Visaka Industries Government should have paid heed to the following points as well:
• They should have reduced corporate tax.
• Reduction in cement prices was required.
• Should support improvement in infrastructure
• Modern Technology should be implemented in agriculture sector.
