ACSA 84th Annual Convention to take place at Amelia Island

Apr '08
American Cotton Shippers Association will hold its 84th Annual Meeting in less than two months along the beautiful Atlantic beaches of Amelia Island on the northeast coast of Florida.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel will be the location we have selected as our meeting site. ACSA has been quite active this year on issues that will have a long range effect on the cotton industry and the trade.

It has been my distinct honor to serve as President and represent the members of the ACSA during a year of much uncertainty in the political arena and in our futures market, here at home, and in the international markets that we depend so heavily on.

We are in the midst of an important election in our country which always makes for many questions on what will be the make-up of our Congress, the White House and other governmental agencies that have an influence on our daily business.

China, India and other markets that we focus on daily are a rapidly changing, ever evolving topic that we must pay close attention to.

These are just some of the topics that will be discussed May 22-24th at Amelia Island. Amelia Island is blessed with miles of broad, shell-strewn beaches, wind swept sand dunes and Atlantic waves.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, is located on a narrow barrier island with an appealing mix of beaches and tranquil inter-coastal marshes. Much is to be offered in this natural environment such as world class golf, tennis, sailing, kayaking, and fishing.
