Texbangla 2008, a three day long textile exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by Fakhruddin Ahmed, the Chief Adviser. The expo is organized by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.

The theme under which exhibition is taking place is 'Made in Bangladesh'. More than forty textile units and other related to this sector are participating to showcase a wide range of products manufactured by private sector.

During the function the Chief Adviser divulged that to elevate the sector, entrepreneurs should make maximum use of the facilities like various incentives and financial aid for increasing the productivity that the Government provides. The enterprises should adopt latest technology to cater the raising global demand.

To compete with developed nations the domestic manufacturers should improve the coordination among various sub divisions that assist the textile sector.
