Mr Naseerullah Baloch, Pakistan Ambassador to Cambodia, reported to the country that there was a high demand for textile and apparel products in Cambodia.
This was indeed; an incredible opportunity for Pakistan to improve trade relations with the country and Mr Baloch therefore beseeched local entrepreneurs to focus on bilateral trade with Cambodia.
During a meeting with the members of Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mr Baloch reiterated that the textile industry should export raw materials and yarn to the Cambodia since it's the most vibrant industry in both the countries.
Mr Baloch, also recommended Pakistani businessmen, about setting up of warehouse facilities to stock up goods exported from Cambodia.
Being an economically weak country, Cambodia's exports are as good as being insignificant while its imports amount to about US $2 billion.
Concluding his well-wishing intentions, the Ambassador advised Pakistan to put efforts to promote domestic goods in single country exhibitions and added that Cambodia would be participating in the My Karachi exhibition to be held in June.
This could turn out to be one of the significant platforms for Pakistan to prove itself as a potential supplier of unique goods that has a huge market in Cambodia.
