ASSOCHAM Report provides outlook for textiles & clothing sector

The ASSOCHAM Research Bureau has done an extensive study on the textile and garments sector of the Indian economy. The Report has identified an important role of the textile industry in the growth of Indian economy and creating job opportunities.

The Report has contemplated global scenario of the sector, key performance indicators and issues pertaining to the sector. The Impact of growing SEZs and coming retail boom has also been observed.

Assocham has given its Recommendations in the Report for further development of the Sector in highly competitive international trade.

The report gives an Outlook for the textiles and clothing sector by the year 2012.
