Cotton cloth production up in 2008

Domestic above-scale textile enterprises (with annual sales income over 5 million Yuan) completed over 8.492 billion meters of cotton cloth production in total from January-April this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.80 percent. This showed that growth rate was down 6.19 percentage points from the annual climb of 15.99 percent in 2007.
April production marked 2.33 billion meters.
In the past year, the highest single month production of cotton cloth was 2.59 billion meters and the lowest single month production was 1.86 billion meters.
