Demand for winter wear warms up in April

According to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), textile and apparel enterprises of Vietnam have already started receiving huge export orders from the overseas clients for winter wear. The products in demand include jacket suit, overcoats, veston suits, sports wear.
In April 2008, export of jacket suit fetched nearly US $51.2 million, a significant rise of 42 percent over March and an increase of 7 percent year-on-year.
Even the shipment of overcoat brought almost $15.4 million for the nation. This showcases a boost of 19 percent when compared to March 2008 and 14 percent over same period of last year.
Experts believe that, the year has begun well for the industry and more orders for woolens are anticipated in coming months.
