Media firm Emap buys out WGSN, fashion & style news provider

For the financial year ended December 2004, WGSN had revenues of £15m and pre-tax profit of £4m. At that date the business had gross assets of £37m.

Forecast revenues for the 2005 calendar year are expected to be £19 million with operating profit of £7 million. The acquisition will meet all of Emap's acquisition criteria.
