General Administration of Quality supervision, Inspection and quarantine of China carried out a spot check on 127 categories of products from different industries in the first half of this year. However, export products were excluded.
This inspection included 7 kinds of textile and clothes products, namely, wool knitting products, flax products, silk quilt, women's innerwear, overcoat, baby and children clothes, sports clothes and knit swimming wear.
The overall qualified rate reached 93.8 percent, which is much higher than 89.5 percent of 2007.
Among the 423 kinds of textile products, only three kinds of products' dye and two kinds of products' formaldehyde content were found to be unqualified. This proves that the quality of textile products is continuously improving.
Experts believe that textile enterprises have realized the importance of meeting the national and international quality standards, especially in these tough times.
Thus, most companies are paying close attention to the contents of the product during manufacturing process.
Besides, the qualified rate of PH value, formaldehyde content and microorganism index of flax products reaches 100 percent.
Analysts believe that quality of textile products is bound to keep improving even in the coming years.
