Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources recently initiated the Development & Export Promotion of Brunei Handicraft Products project and is taking steps to make it a success.

The project allows the Japanese delegates to understand the operations of local handicraft companies and promote exports to the Asian country.

As part of this project, Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro), Business Development Director, Mr Akihiro Miwa, visited the Bajoo Fashion House and was extremely impressed with the company.

An exclusive fashion house, Bajoo, offers stylish, chic and trendy designs of embroidery, batik and handicraft lifestyle products.

Sources said that the company is even planning to venture into traditional weaving.

Executive Marketing Manager, Hj Suhaili bin Ibrahim, stressed, "We have exported our finished products to Malaysia and the Philippines, and with Mr Miwa here, we are also looking at venturing into the Japanese market."
