DayStrong buys business of Oerlikon Accotex Texparts

DayStrong Rubber Products, a company set up by a group of entrepreneurs formerly working at Oerlikon Accotex Texparts, in partnership with AB Carter Inc., a yarn-manufacturing accessories and equipment supplier has acquired the vulcanized roll and ribbon roll covering businesses of Oerlikon Accotex Texparts in Mauldin, N.C, USA.
DayStrong will continue to deal and operate these units from Oerlikon Accotex Texparts existing locations and with its associates.
Fibre2fashion spoke to a company official from Oerlikon Textile Corporate Communications Department who confirmed the news.
DayStrong manufactures vulcnaised rolls for use on machinery, used in production of carpets. Along with the rolls, it also produces polyvinyl chloride, rubber and cork/rubber ribbon rolls.
The management team is headed by Gordon Culler, President and CEO, Scott Walton, COO and Keith Crowe, CFO.
Oerlikon Accotex Texparts serves the textile and carpet industries, offering its cots, aprons and various rubber products for drawing, roving and spinning applications, and belts for finishing applications.
