The Hindupur area has the lowest labour costs and a large catchment area for labour. A large proportion of the labour employed in the apparel units in and around Bangalore is sourced from Hindupur area and it is this labour which travels two hours to Bangalore everyday will be the source of trained manpower for the Supremus SEZ. In addition an apparel-training centre has already commenced at Hindupur with batches of 100 each trained for a period of 30-45 days.
This manpower is being placed in the apparel companies at Bangalore till such time manufacturing facilities commence at the Supremus Apparel & Textile SEZ by middle of 2009.
