'Import Shop' - Display of quality handicrafts from 62 countries

Art and craftsmanship are the dominant themes of the products on display at the special Art + Style forum in Hall 12. This is where artists and gallery owners will be putting their works on display, where fashion and jewellery designers will be represented as well as home and interior design specialists.
This year visitors to the special Winter at Home forum will again witness Berlin's first market of the Christmas season. The exhibits include desirable and stylish articles for visitors with long Christmas wishlists. They include home accessoires, furniture items, fireplaces, conservatories and flower arrangements, as well as Christmas decorations for the home.
This year the slogan of the development policy education programme of the Import Shop Berlin, which has received UNESCO awards, is "WeltWeitWasser - Mangelware.com?". Ever since 2002 the education programme has been organised by Messe Berlin and the Berlin association Kontaktstelle für Umwelt und Entwicklung e.V. (KATE). In recent years more than 30,000 schoolchildren from Berlin and Brandenburg have taken part.
