Polyester cationic market stabilizes

In the just concluded week, polyester cationic filament price in Shengze market stabilized after a decline and trade volumes increased slightly in the second half of the week. With regards to FDY filament products, current prices of FDY66D and 50D were quoted at 11,600 Yuan per ton and 12,400 Yuan per ton respectively.

Market prices of 75D, 100D and 150D were 11,400, 10,800 and 10,400 Yuan per ton, respectively. FDY 200D stabilized at 10,300 Yuan per ton. Looking at the transaction situation of individual products, demand for FDY 50D, 63D and 75D enlarged significantly.

In addition, market prices of some products of POY, DTY had no change. Cationic POY 50D/48F, 75D/48F, 100D/36F were quoted at 10,200, 10,100 and 10,000 Yuan per ton respectively.

According to analysts, prices of upstream raw material rose which pushed cationic filament market higher and the current polyester filament market enlarged, showing quite great purchasing power for some cationic products, thereby providing some support to cationic filament market.

Prices of CDP slice in upstream sector have been stable and have stayed flat 8,600 Yuan per ton when compared with those in the previous week. Cationic filament market is expected to mainly show a smooth movement in the short term.
