762 exhibitors from 33 countries have registered for the textiles trade fair munichfabricstart – pre collections, the get-together of internationally renowned weaving mills and additionals producers in Munich from 1st to 3rd September 2009. Once again all four exhibition halls at the M,O,C, plus the Atriums and the Zenith Hall with bluezone will be fully booked up.

Trade fair organiser munichfabricstart exhibitions GmbH rates this as an indication that the sector – largely unimpressed by the global crisis – looks to the future and continues placing its trust in this location and this exhibition format.

41 “new entrants” from 14 nations in the three sections of M,O,C, – Additionals, Collections and Asia Salon – provide new sourcing opportunities. 486 exhibitors form the Collections area in Halls 2 to 4 and in the Atriums. Boasting 158 findings producers, the Additionals area in Halls 1 and 2 is one of the most creative and strongest showcases of this industry worldwide. At Asia Salon in the Atrium above Hall 4, Asian powerhouse brands exhibit their new collections, primarily enterprises from Korea, Hong Kong and China.

A new Showroom area with full-packaging services now complements the known ranges. In a quiet and highend setting ready-to-wear manufacturers can meet internationally experienced service providers such as Lagoon Ltd (HK), N.I. Tejin Shoji Europe (D), H.D. Isler (HK) and It's Organic (D) and discuss full-service concepts with them from the development of collections to handling their production. Commenting on this Robert Malinowski of Lagoon Ltd. said: “So far we have only presented our metre goods – now we can talk about our complete service package with our customers. This is of particular interest to those customers not coming to see us in Hong Kong.”

For in-depth trend information for the 2010/2011 Autumn/Winter season there will be a new, big Colourforum at the foyer of the M,O,C,, which presents all colour themes, and six other Trend Areas in the hall entrance concourses as well as in the bluezone. The trend experts of munichfabricstart have put together the latest fabrics and additionals for menswear, womenswear, denim and sportswear and kidswear here.

Your trend guide:
+ The Colourforum: New and comprehensive for all colour themes of that season in the foyer between Halls 1 and 2. Everything at a glance. Unlike in previous seasons this time all colour themes will be pooled here at this big venue allowing visitors to obtain rapid and allencompassing guidance.
+ The Trend Areas: These are located in the four hall entrances. In Hall 1, which houses the complete creative universe of additionals, the Forum is accordingly geared to additionals. In front of Hall 4 the Trend Area for kidswear can be found under the trend theme “Milky way”. munichfabricstart again expects some 14,000 visitors from Germany and the neighbouring countries to attend its event.
