Pak textile businessmen keen to relocate plants

The President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Pakistan informed that the textile businessmen in Pakistan are very eager to relocate their industrial units to Bangladesh, and also to make investments in other sectors including tourism and infrastructure.

Mr. Mian Hamid Javed, who was also the leader of an eleven-member delegation from Pakistan, said this in a meeting with the members of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) in Dhaka.

As one of the measures to reduce the trade gap between Bangladesh and Pakistan, Mr. Abul Kashem Ahmed, Acting President of FBCCI, urged the Pakistani delegation to increase imports from Bangladesh.
