The showroom concept for Full-Packaging Services was also a 100% success. Even at this early stage further enquiries from interested parties have been received and, hence, the trade fair management has started considering a further extension of this area.

- A soft touch and flowing fabrics. Many soft wools, raised cottons and airy knits. Generally fabrics that enclose air, flatter and keep warm. These include coloured fun furs for trims, embossed velvets, brushed cotton, only slight twist wovens, thick yarns, jerseys as before, fine tweeds presented in a tone-on-tone rather than gaudy colour scheme, and carded checks. In general, coloured wovens and prints were in demand to contrast with the monotony of the many solid fabrics. The new ecological mind-set has boosted the demand for organic cotton, wool and silk.

- New high-tech theme: winter neoprene, natural bondings in wool and cotton or wool and techno. Double-face fabrics consisting of patterned wool or cotton. Needlefelt and woollen felts with membranes. Gloss and wax coatings or transparent coatings that allow the wool texture to still shine through – referred to by the Italians as “sotto vetro” - i.e. under glass.

- A sportswear feel is exuded by “tarred” surfaces and coatings with mock broken surfaces. Wax coatings are even offered in 100% beeswax for the organic area. Fabrics that could originate from workwear looking rough but with a soft touch. Leather-type surfaces, recycled polyester and eco-denim to “soothe the green conscience”.
