Arkema increases prices of oxygenated solvents

Arkema announced that effective September 10, 2009, or as contracts allow, it will raise the price of its oxygenated solvents in Europe by 100 €/ton.
Solvents impacted by this increase are:
· Methyl Isobutyl Ketone (MIBK),
· Diacetone Alcohol (DAA),
· Hexylene Glycol (HG),
· Isophorone.
This price adjustment is necessary to offset the increase of raw materials, in particular acetone, and energy.
