Prashant Group bags National SME Excellence award

Established since 1975, Prashant Group is one of India's prominent and fast growing engineering groups. In the year 1987, with the vision of “serving Indian textile industry with world class product and service”, Prashant group signed a technical collaboration with Gamatex s.r.l. Italy for high speed sectional warping machine.
Prashant Gamatex was a pioneer in introducing fixed cone high technology warping machines for the first time in India. These machines were widely accepted by prominent textile mills in India who valued the importance of good warping technology.
Since then, Prashant Gamatex is on the path of continuous progress by introducing innovative products and technology comparable to high tech European products. From a mere two machines in the first year of inception to 120 machines per year- that is the journey of Prashant Gamatex. Whatever is the yarn, whatever is the application, Prashant Gamatex has different types of machines to suit unique requirement of each customer.
Prashant Gamatex has added one more feather to it's by winning one more award. It has won the "Corp Excel Award 2008" given under the aegis of the National SME Excellence for its outstanding performance and growth rate achieved during the past years in the "Textile and Apparels" category. Out of more than 12,000 entries, a winner was short listed for each of the 21 categories by the selection committee.
The award ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhavwan,New Delhi, on 30th December 2009. The Chairman and founder of Prashant Group, Mr. Prakash Shah received the Award from the Union Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee. The Union Minister of State for Finance, Mr Namo Narain Meena, was present as Guest of Honour.
