Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, highlighted the two fairs at a press conference.
Nearly 2,000 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions will be on hand later this month for Asia's largest fashion events, the HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter and the HKTDC World Boutique, Hong Kong.

The concurrent events, 18-21 January, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fairs have a worldwide reputation for showcasing the newest collections, looks and products in the industry.

Intimate Wear
The 41st edition of Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter includes two new zones: Testing, Certification & Inspection, and Intimate Wear. Also returning are the popular Emporium de Mode and World of Fashion Accessories zones. Russian and South African exhibitors will join the event for the first time.

Fashion Week also features a series of topical seminars, including a forecast of 2011-2012 Fall/Winter fashion influences by French trend research and design agency Promostyl. And the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest returns to spotlight a new generation of Hong Kong design talent.

World Boutique, Hong Kong, returns for its eighth edition, featuring an international showcase of the latest brand-name fashion products, designer collections, fashion accessories, home fashion and lifestyle products. The mainland will have a strong new presence at the Quanzhou Pavilion, featuring 10 top brands from the Chinese mainland. The Netherlands, famous for its design, will host a country pavilion for the first time.

Hong Kong Fashion Extravaganza
Adding glamour and edge to the 2010 edition of World Boutique are such big fashion names as Vivienne Westwood, MANGO and The Underground Quarter by Londonedge, which makes its debut at the fair. Top international agencies will put on special seminars, and the Hong Kong Fashion Extravaganza returns, featuring four internationally celebrated fashion designers: Hong Kong's Dorian Ho, the mainland's Guo Pei and Frankie Xie and Japan's Toshikazu Iwaya.
