Craft Bazar-10: Arena for variety of handmade items

All India Craft Bazar 2010, organized by the Artisan Welfare Association, kicked-off in Hyderabad on January 1. Around 40 artisans from 12 states of India are taking part in this traditional Handloom and Handicrafts Exhibition cum sale, which will continue till January 10.
Famous handloom items from different states such as bandhani from Rajasthan and Gujarat, Ikkat from Orissa and Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh as well as Kashmiri shawls and Jaipuri kurtas are on display in the exhibition.
In addition to this, visitors can also experience a varied array of handicrafts, including wooden and marble carvings from Uttar Pradesh and Agra, silver jewelry from Kashmir, lac bangles, hand embroidery and terrocota work.
The exhibition offers an opportunity to the visitors to have all kinds of traditional accessories for their outfits, under one roof.
