Sae-A, a South Korean textile and clothing producer is setting up a integrated textile plant in Jatiluhur, West Java on a 60 hectare area at an estimated cost of US $200 million, to increase its presence in the Indonesian market.
The construction of the buildings of the plant which would have yarn dyeing and knitting facilities has already begun and when fully operational by next January, would provide employment to around 15,000 workers in the region.
Sae-A is one of the largest textile and garment manufacturer in the world, with factories located across all corners of the globe, including, Latin America, North America, Vietnam and Indonesia. In Indonesia it operates two plants.
The company initially would set up the yarn dyeing facilities, whose intake of workers is expected to be around 2,000 employees and it is expected to source raw materials from the Indonesian market rather than importing the same.
