Hebei province to eliminate obsolete printing capacity

In 2009, the financial crisis lowered consumer demand for textiles, serious decline appeared in Europe and the United States markets. The textile industry of Hebei Province saw market shrinking and low price in international markets.
However, technology up-gradation became a major driver of investment. The province completed 741 projects, representing an increase of 37.22 percent, which helped in giving birth to a number of key projects.
The textile industry in Hebei Province is expected to further accelerate technological innovation, by eliminating obsolete backward capacity by introducing energy efficient and eco-friendly technologies.
The industry will strive to eliminate 100 million meters of backward printing capacity this year according to the province's industrial and information organization.
According to industry estimates, the overall trend of the textile industry will be good this year, at the same time; there still remain a lot of uncertainties.
