SDC's Symposium on 'Colouration of cotton knits and blends'

Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) jointly with the SDC Patron Member Colleges of Southern regions, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore; PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathiamangalam, Erode, with the support of Clariant India Limited, organized a one day International Symposium on “Colouration of cotton knits and blends” for the benefit of the students and faculty members of these three colleges.
Dr. T. Ramachandran, Prof & Head- Textile Technology, PSG Tech gave a warm welcome address. Mr. Parvez Kotadia, Country Manager, SDC- UK spoke on SDC and its services. The presidential address was given by Dr. R. Rudramurthy, Principal, PSG College of Technology. Dr. Mike Bartle, President SDC – UK gave an outstanding presentation in the plenary session on the topic “A Day of Colour”. Besides there were four educative & informative technical papers presented by leading companies, ATE, SF Dyes, Clariant India Ltd & Texan Lab. Dr. C. N. Sivaramakrishnan, SDC Secretary, was the Moderator.
Prof V. Sankaran, Coordinator, KCT – TIFAC CORE gave the vote of thanks. Earlier Dr. Mike Bartle thanked Prof V. Sankaran for his efforts in organizing this International Symposium. Dr Mike Bartle gave certification of appreciation to Prof V Sankaran, Dr T. Ramachandran and Dr.G.Nalankilli. 700 students from all the three institutions attended the Symposium. The summing up was done by Dr G.Nalankilli who thanked SDC for organizing the mega event.
