Caustic soda plant of Tosoh Corp goes off-stream

Official sources at Tosoh Corporation, Japan informed fibre2fashion that, a caustic soda plant located at Yokkaichi which has a production capacity of 184,000 tons per year has been shut down.
The source said that the plant has gone off-stream from March 13, 2010, to undertake a maintenance turnaround, which will last till mid-April, 2010.
He also said that a second caustic soda plant, operated by Tosoh Corp with a capacity of 100,000 tons per annum located in Nanyo, Japan is also expected to undergo a turnaround in the last week of May for a period of two weeks.
