PTA spot market remains steady

In the PTA spot market, mainstream offers were quoted at 8,200 Yuan / ton on April 16, (shipment to be made by buyers, payment in cash) and offers for overseas spot were at US $1,000-1,005/ ton, (to be delivered on board, payment in cash).
Offers for Korean spot were at US $975-980/ton, (to be delivered on board, payment in cash). Crude oil futures rose sharply on Thursday, but PTA spot market maintained a steady state on April 16.
PTA offers for domestic supply was around 8,300 Yuan / ton, however, negotiation levels remained at 8,200-8,250 Yuan / ton. PTA offers for overseas spot was still at $1,000 / ton or higher, some buyers made counteroffer around US $997.
One deal of bonded spot was made at US $1,005/ ton, offers for Korean products were around US $975-980 / ton, and transaction talks were around US $970-980 / ton.
