FATEX - a broader diversity of sourcing

With new dates, new places and new dynamics, the trade fair for fashion manufacturing contractors and sub-contractors worldwide doubles its surface and offer. It solidly approaches its 27th edition with multiple perspectives for development. Having become a reference for low and mid-range products in large volume stores, Fatex welcomes international order-givers attending the Fashion trade fairs at the Porte de Versailles, 5th-6th-7th of September, 2010.

• A new dynamic : the change of date and location
Fatex is now located at the heart of the Parisian fashion trade fairs which propose fashion clothes and accessories. Fatex thus brings its exhibitors closer to French and international order-givers, 80% of which are present at the events grouped at the Porte de Versailles.

This change in cycle was viewed positively by the regional or national pavillions for countries specializing in sub-contracting. Exhibitors are expected to be present in a greater number, offering a variety of manufacturing solutions adapted to the volumes sought by order-givers and their required delivery dates. For 2011, the fair will enlarge its offer with fashion accessories and shoes and also textiles items for the home.

• A bigger trade fair
With over 150 exhibitors present for this new session, Fatex increases in size and gains 35% of its surface in relation to the 2009 edition. This move allows the fair to increase its offer and surface.
• A broader diversity of sourcing
A key player in the industry, China and its specialized regions will, as usual, be well-represented by manufacturers selected for their adaptability to our markets for volume, price and specialized knowhow.

Hong Kong, whose manufacturers have experience answering high-level requests from major brands, continually seduces new buyers recognized in the industry and confirms its presence. 2010 also sees the arrival of countries who have profited from Fatex's new approach such as Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Indonesia, proposing their techniques and services. A special mention for the presence of Haiti, who suffered a blow in the recent earthquake and which must not be forgotten by clients. Its production capacities remain active, and, more than ever, it needs to reactivate commercial exchanges.

• Specialties to discover
Fatex exhibitors, acknowledged for their manufacturing solutions for men, women, and children, continue to offer additional specialities, original propositions and know-how susceptible to surprise or open up fields of development for sectors such as accessories, knitwear, jeanswear, cashmere or embroideries.

• A « China-arty » photo exhibit
Esmod-Beijing students will exhibit photographs mixing art, vision, style and fashion, demonstrating that a new generation of conceptors and designers will make China rhyme even more with original creativity and dynamics. A fashion future that beats to the pulse of a new world !
