Central St Martins College of Arts & Design in collaboration with Cool Diamonds and London Jewellery Week are thrilled to announce the 2010 jewellery awards on the evening of the 23rd June 2010 where the finalists and the winner will be announced.

This year's briefing consists of designing a diamond party necklace that represents the students as designers. There are no limits in materials or colours to use. Bold, artistic and fresh ideas are what the judges are looking for.

This year judging panel is formed by:

1) Ms Roberta Massy-Birch Fashion Editor from InStyle Magazine;

2) Mr Theo Fennell, creative director of luxury jewellery company “Theo Fennell”; Theo is famous of his use of sorbetcoloured gemstones and bejewelled cross, key and horn pendants. He counts the Beckhams, Naomi Campbell, Liz Hurley, Elton John, Kate Beckinsale and the Rolling Stones among his customers. Theo Fennell is probably Britain's best knownjewellery and silver company. His style is inspired by the ancient and classic as well as the new and revolutionary; He uses both traditional skills and cutting edge techniques.

3) Fashion designer Emilio de la Morena who joined one of the world's leading brand consultancies based in London and reached semi-finals of the Fashion Fringe Award with his debut womenswear collection in 2005. In 2008, the designer was the recipient of New Generation sponsorship for the first time. De La Morena's work is inspired by his Spanish heritage, often featuring complex use of obscure craft techniques.

The event is taking place on the evening of Wednesday 23rd June from 6pm at Southampton Row, wc1b 4ap.
