It is learnt recently that the policy making on “Speeding up development of sports and its allied industry" has been approved by the State Council and it is expected to announce in the near future.

But China has less than 0.5 pairs per capita, indicating a tremendous growth potential. China's sales of sports apparel market is expected to break through 9.0 billion Yuan mark in 2010.
Studies also indicate that, that future growth of China's sporting and sporting apparel goods market will be not less than 20 percent each year.
Related statistics show that China has become world's largest manufacturing base of sporting goods. From January to November of 2009, China's scale enterprises of sports goods manufacturing industry realized main business income of 64.6 billion Yuan
This is an increase of more than 6.29 percent over the same period of the previous year; a total profit of 1.975 billion Yuan, an increase of 56.90 percent over the same period of the previous year.
