The whole concept is integrated in one single module consisting of installing customized equipment for waste recycling, adaptation of intelligent software based monitoring system, providing complete technical support for processing of various varieties of rcf blend yarn and lastly the module is implemented in a phased manner with a scientific and systematic approach.

Acetex has a state of art facilities for design and manufacturing of customized waste recycling plants and these plants are installed on the basis of available fibres and regional fibre consumption patterns, which will ensure the lowest per kg reclaimed fibre cost with minimum loss of spinnable fibres and has also been precisely designed to ensure that the original properties of individual reclaimed fibers are retained in reference to length, strength etc. with large reduction in trash and other contaminants.

In conclusion, he said that apart from the monetary gains from implementing the cotton reuse systems, there is a much larger issue that needs our commitment; our environment, since cotton is one of the most water intensive crop, apart from consuming about 11% of the worlds' pesticides.

The last and final speaker of the session was, Mr K Suresh from Clariant, a company, which surely does not need an introduction. His presentation dealt on a new denim dyeing technology; “Advanced Denim by Clariant”, which is a new eco-efficient dyeing technology for the production of sustainable and fashionable jeans.

He said, “Advanced Denim by Clariant is a multipurpose concept for denim warp dyeing and denim garment processing and we consider that all efforts, present and future, to be made by all concerned in the textile value-chain, beginning from textile producers to retailers to end consumers including chemical companies will help to maintain our rivers, lakes and oceans, the way we would all want them”.

He informed about the technical advantages of coating with Diresul RDT dyes like, soft handle and great wash-down look even on very dark shades and does not require binders, only drying required and polymerisation not needed and good reproducibility.

All in all, the delegates from the denim sector were enthralled with the possibilities thrown by these presentations which could help them to become more cost-competitive and produce quality products by adapting new technologies, and were more enlightened, when they all trooped out, towards the end of the second-day of the denim conference.
