Polyester filament market extended its gain on Monday. A mainstream manufacturer increased prices of POY products by 100-200 Yuan / ton, DTY offers by 100-200 Yuan / ton and offers for FDY products by 200 Yuan / ton.
Chip prices in Shengze area also grew, mainstream ex-factory price of semi-dull FDY54D/24F was 17,900 Yuan / ton in cash. In addition, the prices of polyester filament transported into Shengze and Jiaxing markets from outside markets also gained slightly.
At present, although most polyester filament plants have very low inventories, but individual manufacturers have had negative inventories for a long time, some polyester filament products are in tight supply, but accumulated gain of polyester filament is larger, downstream weaving and texturing enterprises show strong resistant sentiment. Most people believe that short-term filament market may face high probability of some shocks.
Polyester staple fiber price was stable. Viscose staple fiber price slightly upturned. Rayon yarn price continued to move higher, prices of individual varieties elevated. Yarn of 32s and 40s had good demand, as they are mainly used in production of jet nylon series, while trade volume of other specifications was moderate.
Among blended products, viscose yarn product prices were stable, but trade volume was not large. Polyester / cotton yarn market was quiet, product prices were stable. Polyester yarn market was fair, prices of individual species further increased, trade volume slightly enlarged.
Rayon yarn market and polyester yarn market are expected to move higher in the future.
