Texprocess: 75% space already sold, new registrations still coming

From 2011, Texprocess will be held biennially parallel to Techtextil. The range of products to be seen covers the entire value chain from cutting and processing, via sewing, embroidery and joining, to finishing, IT and textile logistics. The international market leaders who have already signed up for the fair include Amann & Söhne, Assyst, A&E, AVM, Barudan, Brother, Coats, Dürkopp Adler, Expert Systemtechnik, Gerber Technologies, Gütermann, Human Solutions, Hornung Indupress, Juki, KSL, Lectra, New Jack, Morgan Tecnica, Pegasus, Pfaff, PMF- Fortuna, Ferd. Schmetz, Sunstar/SWF, Tajima, Topcut-Bullmer, Veit, VI.BE.MAC, Xi'an Typicals, Yamato, Zoje and ZSK.
The Texprocess exhibitors will present innovations on trend themes such as automation, improved productivity and longevity, sustainability, traceability, energy efficiency and body scanning. In addition to the optimisation of processes and product flows, the focus will also be on new methods for making the complex textile value chain more transparent for the consumer, e.g., through RFID technology. One of the main themes will also be innovations for processing technical textiles.
At this point, the spectrum covered by Texprocess is perfectly supplemented by Techtextil, which will be held concurrently from 24 to 26 May 2011 and can be attended free of charge using the Texprocess admission ticket. The range of products to be seen at Techtextil runs from fibres and yarns, via nonwovens and coated textiles, to composites and adhesives, as well as functional textiles in the Avantex segment. Techtextil ends a day earlier than Texprocess.
One of the highlights at Texprocess is the Source it! Sourcing platform, at which international garment manufacturers, as well as individual production facilities, make presentations. There, fashion labels will have the opportunity to find out about the current sourcing situation in the individual countries. The comprehensive Texprocess complementary programme includes the Innovation Award, the Texprocess Forum with a lecture programme on future-oriented subjects relevant to the sector, such as sustainability, traceability and social responsibility, the Network@Texprocess IT market place and Texprocess Campus, a special programme for young people spotlighting training and career opportunities in the fashion sector. Additionally, Techtextil also hosts the Avantex Symposium, which concentrates on innovations in the field of apparel textiles.

Texprocess is aimed primarily at the apparel-manufacturing and textile-processing industries, as well as at processors of textile and flexible materials from the automotive, aerospace, filter, packaging, furniture, leisurewear, outdoor, workwear and protective-clothing industries. Other trade visitors come from the trade, handicrafts, service, training and research sectors.
