Redress Design Awards inspire designers to think circular

Fashion weeks around the world have already started taking a circular route, but the designers of tomorrow are still either studying or in the process of graduating. Herein, the Redress Design Awards give upcoming designers a push in the right direction—by encouraging and recognising the efforts of young designers in thinking circular, writes senior independent journalist Subir Ghosh.
The Redress Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition. Organised by Redress, the competition works to educate emerging fashion designers around the world about sustainable design theories and techniques in order to drive growth towards a circular fashion system.
The 2019 Redress Design Awards saw ten finalists. Ghosh speaks to all the ten about their ideas and opinions for his article 'Designers hold the key'. The article appears in the hard bound fifth edition of the Sustainability Compendium - ‘Going Circular’ brought out by Fibre2Fashion.
