Sibur, a Russia-based petrochemicals and gas processing company, will integrate its three Tobolsk businesses - Tobolsk-Polymer, Tobolsk HPP and Sibur Tobolsk into a single, standalone business unit - Tobolsk Industrial Site in 2016, which will operate as a division of Sibur, according to a press statement released by the company.

This industrial site is expected to manage all the production operations, including gas fractionation, production of monomers, MTBE, propylene and polypropylene and heat and power generation. It will also lay the groundwork for the launch of Zapsibneftekhim's operations.

The integration will result in an increase in gas fractionation capacities, integration of power generation assets, launch of polypropylene production and construction of Zapsibneftekhim at its Tobolsk platform. It will also facilitate the development of an integrated management approach.

It will improve the site's efficiency through optimisation of the governance framework, reduction in the document flow and implementation of standard uniform processes.

Konstantin Belkin, MD and member of Sibur's management board is appointed as the head of the Tobolsk Industrial Site. (MCJ)
