Testex, a globally operating, independent Swiss testing and certification corporation, that focuses on textile and leather testing, has announced the expansion of its firm, with the opening of a new branch office in New Zealand. The country predominantly consists of pastoral land for sheep and cattle, which offers great potential for the company’s growth.

Marc Sidler, chief marketing officer of the Testex Group said, “To date, our New Zealand customers have been assisted by our Melbourne office. The Leather Standard by Oeko-Tex was introduced in January 2017 and the export value of wool from New Zealand has reached roughly $600 Mio. These facts convince us that now is the perfect time for us to cement our presence in Australasia.”

With this development, Testex responds to an increase in demand from the New Zealand textile industry for Oeko-Tex products, including Standard 100, the Leather Standard, and STeP by Oeko-Tex. (GK)
