Supplier of testing and monitoring instruments to the spinning segment, Switzerland based Uster Technologies is introducing a virtual assistant, Assistant Q at its booth at ITMA Asia. Assistant Q has the know-how and ability to make a real difference in quality management and business success, working 24/7 as part of the new Uster Tester 6.

According to Uster, with access to data from the Uster Total Testing Center, Assistant Q has an overview of all the processes in the spinning mill.

It examines test data from every production stage, alerting management to any potential issues and alerts personnel via their PCs and in future to mobile devices, while also managing the process of solving the problem.

“The systematic approach of Assistant Q helps solves challenges in a timely manner, while offering vital contribution to avoiding quality complaints and claims from customers,” the company said.

In addition, the virtual assistant identifies changes at the carding process, which result in lower nep removal efficiency and reports the issue to the relevant operator.

Assistant Q also evaluates fabric appearance, using a series of parameters and a grading system of 1 to 5, with yarns graded 5, expected to be top of their class in fabric appearance. (AR)
