Commodities to the value of EUR 30.1 billion (+13.8 percent) were dispatched to the euro-zone countries in January 2006, while the value of commodities received from those countries was EUR 24.1 billion (+13.5 percent).
Commodities to the value of EUR 13.8 billion (+15.0 percent) were dispatched to EU countries not belonging to the euro area in January 2006, while the value of the commodities which arrived from those countries was EUR 10.4 billion (+14.5 percent).
Germany exported commodities to the value of EUR 24.7 billion to and imported commodities to the value of EUR 21.5 billion from countries outside the European Union (third countries) in January 2006. Compared with January 2005, exports to third countries rose by 11.7 percent and imports from those countries by 27.5 percent.
