• The Current Conditions Index stands at 67.5, down from 73.4 in the last survey. The Expectations Index has registered a decline from 76.7 in the previous survey to 73.6 in the present round .The Overall Business Confidence Index is down from 75.6 in the last survey to 71.6 this time.
Response to various enterprise level parameters for next six months is as follows:
Sales – 71% expect higher to much higher sales.
Selling Price – While 30% foresee increase in prices, 55% would maintain price
Profits – 49% expect higher to much higher profits.
Exports – 58% expect higher to much higher exports.
Investments – 51% are planning higher to much higher investments.
Employment – 30% have forecast a higher to much higher employment but 63% still expect current levels of employment to be maintained.
