Develop brand names in global markets, advises Vitas

Vietnam Textile and Garment Association (Vitas) organized a seminar on developing trade mark for individual firm for Vietnamese textile and apparel to enter World Trade Organization.

The seminar was attended by over 100 enterprises and several international firms, focusing on increasing profits for the industry by transferring from doing outwork for foreign manufactures and exporting goods with own trade marks.

Richard Moore, Managing Director of New York based Richard Moore Associates made a presentation emphasizing importance of measures to improve competitiveness of Vietnamese textile and apparel products as Vietnam officially operates in WTO.

So far, there are several enterprises, which have built their own brand names in international markets, but they account for a small part of the whole industry even after ten years of program.
