As of 1.12.2006, the International Oeko-Tex Association will be showcasing itself on the Internet with a totally revised website in terms of both content and design.
At Oeko-Tex website, the range of information previously available to Oeko-Tex licence holders, companies in the textile and clothing industry, the press and consumers will be significantly extended and adapted in line with the international importance of the Oeko-Tex testing and certification system.
The contents of the website are now fully available in German, English, French and Chinese, and by the beginning of 2007, they will be complemented by Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese language versions.
The aim of the relaunch of the website was to provide comprehensive information on all relevant aspects of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 in order to satisfy the growing need for information regarding the testing and certification procedure and the correct use of the Oeko-Tex label in sales and marketing, in view of the increasing number of certificates issued worldwide.
The website will be complemented by up-to-date information on the activities of the Oeko-Tex Association as well as numerous interactive functions such as the shopping guide, a web directory of Oeko-Tex certified brands and an extensive download area.
The menu item “Basis” offers a general overview of the philosophy and concept behind the Oeko-Tex tests for harmful substances.
The quality management of the Oeko-Tex Association, the modular principle of the Oeko-Tex system and the network principle within the textile and clothing industry are all presented.
