This month has ended without much movement in cotton prices as it started with Rs2500 per maund and then moved up to Rs2525 per maund in the middle of the month.
This upward movement continues and on January 23, the cotton prices reached Rs2550 per maund. Since then, the prices have stuck to this level.
Today, any cotton station has not recorded any transaction.
According to Cotlook Indices, A Index was 59.75 and B Index stood at 56.85 on January 30, 2007.
