Textile machinery symposia in Egypt and Syria

The VDMA Textile Machinery Association is announcing two top events for the textile industry in the Middle East: The first German Textile Machinery Symposia in Egypt and Syria will take place from March 6 to 7 in Cairo and from March 12 to 13 in Damascus.
Leading German textile machinery manufacturers will report in lectures about their latest developments and technical innovations and explain how to improve the quality of textile products.
These high-profile events aim to update the leaders of the textile industry in Egypt and Syria with new textile technology solutions to enhance their position on the world market.
"Today, the textile industries in the Middle East are facing very stiff competition from Asia. Their big advantage however is the closeness to the European market. In 2010, the EU-Mediterranean free trade area will become a reality thus opening new chances for the Maghreb and the Middle East."
"We are looking forward to the symposia and to demonstrate solutions that give textile companies in that region a competitive edge", explains Ragnar Strauch, Director Export Marketing of VDMA Textile Machinery Association.
