Production increased by 15.9% in latest 3 month period

The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three month period December 2006 to February 2007 was up 15.9% on the preceding three month period.
On an annual basis production for All Industries in February 2007 was 22.3% higher than in February 2006. The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for February 2007 of 30.3%, while an increase of 6.8% was recorded in the “Traditional” Sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover for manufacturing industries was 14.4% higher in the three month period December 2006 to February 2007 when compared with the preceding three month period. On an annual basis turnover in February 2007 was 9.0% higher than in February 2006.
